Our first concern is that you and your family are safe and sound after Hurricane Sandy and its impact on our city and our New York Area Touro community.

For some of you, Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath may be having a debilitating effect. We want you to know we care about our students and their families. If Sandy has placed you in a hardship position that will prevent you from continuing your education, please contact your financial aid administrator as soon as possible.

Your financial aid administrator will review your individual situation to determine whether additional assistance may be available to you.

Please bring to your administrator all relevant documentation with regard to Hurricane Sandy’s impact on your individual household.

You may be eligible to apply for or re-apply for (additional) student loans from the Department of Education based on our ability to perform a “Professional Judgment” in order to assist you in your present situation.
